FAQs
Why is the program
4 months long?
1. Extensive Support for ADHD.
ADHD affects all areas of life, and our program offers a wealth of educational resources and live group sessions. A 16-week duration prevents content overload, which can be challenging for ADHDers, making it easier to start and follow through. The first two weeks are dedicated to ADHD Foundations to ensure a solid start.
2. Meaningful Change Takes Time.
Real growth takes time and effort. Our program is designed to help you test strategies, reshape thinking patterns, and achieve your goals through neuroplasticity. We’re committed to guiding you every step of the way.
3. Flexible for Busy Lives.
Life can be unpredictable. Our program is affordably priced to accommodate those who may miss sessions, ensuring you still get value without pressure.
Why is the program in group
format rather than 1-1?
1. Validation and Community Support
Society often overlooks ADHDers, making us feel isolated or “wrong” for struggling with tasks others find simple. Connecting with fellow ADHDers validates our experiences, reducing isolation, increasing acceptance, and decreasing shame—leading to better outcomes.
2. Built-In ADHD Strategies
Our groups provide essential ADHD strategies like accountability and gamification. Join accountability groups to tackle tasks, goal groups to set and achieve smart goals, and specialized groups for emotional regulation and executive functions. You'll learn and practice applied skills that translate into real-life improvements.
3. Peer Learning Enhances Retention
Discussing challenges and successes with peers in our community helps solidify learning and offers new strategies.
4. Exceptional Value
Our program offers extensive group sessions tailored for ADHD, all at a fraction of the cost of 1-on-1 sessions. The content is concise, easy to understand, and designed with ADHD in mind.
I’m not tech savvy, do I have to use my phone to access the program?
Absolutely not, there is a web version of the program that you can access from a desktop, laptop or tablet.
I’m Shy. Do I have to talk in the groups?
The groups are there for you to ask relevant questions; however, you only have to share if you want to!
Whatever is comfortable to you - you can type in the chat to ask questions, or simply listen to others and see what relates to your struggles.
People say I’m just lazy. Shouldn’t I just be able to figure things out on my own?
A common misconception is that ADHDers are lazy, but this simply is just not the case. Regulate teaches you how the ADHD brain is unique and why things can seem so hard. We dismantle common myths and teach strategies to help get over the hurdles that our brain makes harder on us. It is okay to need help and get help to figure things out together. Sure, you can try to figure everything out on your own, but with support you can learn to thrive.
Can anybody join Regulate?
Currently, our Program is only available for Residents of British Columbia, but we're working to have upcoming cohorts available for all Canadian Residents.
